Request Counting
Every request counts as 1 Request, whatever the method. eth_blockNumber, eth_getLogs, eth_getProof, debug_traceTransaction, and trace_block all count the same.
- A single JSON-RPC call counts as 1, even when the call reverts.
- A batch of N calls counts as N.
- Over WebSocket, every request you send (including
eth_subscribe) counts as 1, and every message pushed to you on a subscription counts as 1. - Not counted: opening a connection, ping/pong, rate-limited (
429) or failed (5xx) requests, rejected API keys, unknown methods, and anything on the public trial (/v1/rpc/public).
Example: a batch of 3 calls plus 10 subscription messages = 13 Requests.
Free and Request Pack Requests are used first, earliest expiry first. After that, pay-as-you-go is $3.90 per 1M Requests. The Dashboard shows Requests used, Requests remaining, and your wallet balance. See Plans & Pricing.
